In the spirit of pumpkin carving I’m going to try Dr. Oz’s recipe for a pumpkin pie smoothie. I’ve heard it tastes like pie in a glass, and each 8-ounce cup offers 100% of the daily value for beta-carotene, an antioxidant that fights cancer. It will also rev up your imune system which is what we all need this time of year.
1/2 can of pumpkin puree
1/2 tbs of almond butter
2 tbs of flax-seeds
1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
3/4 cup of almond milk
Make coconut water ice cubes.
When ready add ingredients (expect for the ice and maple syrup)
blend together then add the ice and blend some more.
Sample; add syrup to taste, if desired.
