To the world you may be just one person, but to one person you may be the world.” Brandi Snyder quotes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: Friendship is a relationship of mutual affection between two or more people.[1] Friendship is a stronger form of interpersonal bond than an association. Various academic theories of friendship have been proposed, including a World Happiness Database study found that people with close friendships are happier.[2] Such characteristics include affection, sympathyempathyhonestyaltruism, mutual understanding and compassion, enjoyment of each other’s company, trust, and the ability to be oneself, express one’s feelings, and make mistakes without fear of judgment from the friend. While there is no practical limit on what types of people can form a friendship, friends tend to share common backgrounds, occupations, or interests, and have similar demographics.

I‘ve read convicting books about the company a woman should keep. Now I know I am old fashion and I try my hardest to stay within God’s plans for me, my values and family. In a book I’ve read many times, Created to be His Help meet” by, Debi Pearl says some woman who stay at home become idle, wondering from home to home; and not on only idle, but tattle and are busybodies, speaking things which they ought not to. In short she means women tend to be gossipers.

Which I understand the premises of what she is trying to say and I think all of us are guilty of from time to time.

But i also found some great scripture in the Bible talking about friendship:

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV / 95 helpful votes

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

I’m am truly blessed to have found my person, my friend. I do not have many friends because as the good book says women tend to gossip and I try to avoid of the women who are constantly bringing others down by trying to build themselves up.

I am not perfect and neither is my friend but we have a connection, a bond that makes me feel so blessed. It is a friendship built on years of knowing each other, having families together and a deep rooted sense of similar goals we have set for our lives.

We are crazy, and sarcastic and compare our busy lives as if we were one person. We watch our reality TV shows and laugh at the nonsense. We joke about retiring together and what fun it will be to be crazy old ladies together.

She is the strongest person I know and has the most giving heart I have ever known a person to have. We share are ups and our deepest of downs. We cry together when we need support and laugh at the good times.

Today I opened up to her about my bipolar disorder whom I have not shared with anyone but my closest family. She accepted it and greeted it with open arms and even though she has no experience to fall back on she did the best thing she could have done, which was accept me for who I was and let me know she was there.

Although we might not always follow through with the the meaning of God’s idea of friendship, I think we are pretty damn close and I don’t know what I would do without her.

Moving her into her her new house was a feat in of is self but we laughed at our mistakes and celebrated with margaritas. Even thought I have chosen not to drink anymore because of all the medications I’m on, it was still a fun day and one I won’t soon forget.

Even though we’ve changed and we’re all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we’ll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we’re not all still friends.
