*Two mid sized chicken.
*Two cans of Ginger ale.
*Sweet Ginger garlic seasoning.
Same concept as beer can chicken but with ginger ale and sweet ginger garlic seasoning. Stuff the chicken with the opened ginger ale and season to taste. Place in a dutch oven
The chicken turned out so juicy. I baked it in the oven at 350 for about 2 1/2 hrs for two med sized chickens. Served it with baby corn and jasmine rice. Don’t over salt the chicken!
Gabe’s team won their football game today and The Bronco’s won too! Toot toot! Beep beep!
Dawn is a place that is quiet and still. Everyone is sleeping, everything is real. The air is cold and crisp and the colors in the sky make me want to cry. Dawn is a place where my sadness can creep in, I try to fight it but it’s a toss up and sometimes my depression wins. The day is coming whether I like it or not. Despite the battle I just fought. So I close with a prayer and get ready to go watch my football player.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.
In the spirit of pumpkin carving I’m going to try Dr. Oz’s recipe for a pumpkin pie smoothie. I’ve heard it tastes like pie in a glass, and each 8-ounce cup offers 100% of the daily value for beta-carotene, an antioxidant that fights cancer. It will also rev up your imune system which is what we all need this time of year.
1/2 can of pumpkin puree
1/2 tbs of almond butter
2 tbs of flax-seeds
1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
3/4 cup of almond milk
Make coconut water ice cubes.
When ready add ingredients (expect for the ice and maple syrup)
blend together then add the ice and blend some more.
Sample; add syrup to taste, if desired.
